How to Install Collect.Chat on Tumblr

Let’s see how to install the chat widget that you made using Collect Chat on Tumblr. It is easier than you think.

1. Copy the snippet code

From the Collect Chat dashboard, goto Creator. Then click on Add to website and copy the snippet code.

2. Open Tumblr

Log into your Tumblr Dashboard: https://www.tumblr.com/dashboard. Then click the Person Icon in the top Right. Then click Edit Appearance

3. Edit Theme

4. Edit HTML

5. Paste the code

Paste the Collect Chat snippet code into head tag. and click on Save Template.

6. That’s all!

Congrats, you’re all done! Now go to your Tumblr site and check out the chat widget. To edit the widget or see the responses go to collect.chat.

Tumblr Mobile

If you wish to have the widget on the mobile version of your tumblr site, you simply have to disable the “Use default mobile theme”. Let’s see how to do that.
